repair the world

Located in the East Liberty neighborhood of Pittsburgh, this community center, one of four designed by Inscape Publico, the others being in Detroit, Philadelphia, and Baltimore, was developed by Inscape Studio to further Repair the World’s mission of volunteerism and service. Open spaces and and communal work stations facilitate interaction between the volunteers and staff and create a forum for dialogue and debate. The bright hues that highlight the objects, forming the open floor plan, are the organization’s colors and compliment the plywood, pallets, terrazzo floors, and reclaimed wood of this Steel City center for volunteerism and neighborhood activities.
